Rules for submission of texts: As part of the submission of the accepted contributions, authors must verify the submission's compliance with all items listed below. Submissions that do not comply with the rules will be returned to the authors. Scope: the thematic areas defined by the Editorial Board of the BJEDIS should be related to the use of Statistics and its tools in the most diverse fields of knowledge. The number of authors: there is no limit of authors per article. As long as they are justified to the Editors and accepted, changes (removal, inclusion, and replacement) in the articles' authorship will be allowed after the online submission. In the case of manuscripts with more than one author, it is requested to indicate a corresponding author who will be the only one to whom the editorial correspondence will be sent and who will accompany the submission. Authorship criteria: only persons who have sufficiently participated in the development of the work, from conception to disseminating the research, should be designated as authors to assume public responsibility for the content. All conditions (1, 2, and 3) must be met. Minor contributions such as suggested references, data analysis, or editing assistance do not guarantee authorship credit. These and other contributions to the work can be recognized separately, in the form of "Acknowledgments", if the authors so wish. However, it should be noted" that at the time of submission, the authors should not submit any acknowledgments, they may be added to the manuscript after acceptance for publication. Identification of authorship and co-authorship: the document must not contain the document-authors' identification, including the file properties. If it is possible to identify the authorship in the text's body, the article will be archived in the references or the file properties. The manuscript's originality: the document must be unpublished, not being evaluated for publication, and/or published in another dissemination vehicle, except for works published in conference proceedings and derived from theses and dissertations. In cases of a previous publication in annals, they will only be admitted with substantial advances concerning the version presented at the events. Plagiarism: The content of signed manuscripts is the sole and exclusive responsibility of the authors. When submitting an article, the author (s) guarantee (s) that it does not contain any violation of any copyright or other third party right. Supposing plagiarism is characterized in the article submitted to the BJEDIS. In that case, the paper will be archived, and BJEDIS will prevent the authors from submitting articles to the journal for five years. Translations: The BJEDIS accepts articles in English.In some cases, as numbers dedicated to scientific events, articles may be accepted in Portuguese or Spanish. However, the editorial priority is for the English language. Financing indication: items approved for publication, which have received financial support and/or other research incentives, must present the due acknowledgments (Universities and/or development agencies) to be inserted as a final grade. Authors' biography: the authors must send at the time of submission, as supplementary documentation, the summary biography of all authors, informing ORCID, name, title, institutional affiliation, city/country of origin. Other supplemental documents: we strongly suggest that authors submit as supplementary documentation (in a separate file from the original manuscript) databases, materials (questionnaires, interview scripts, scales, and coding criteria), and computer programs used in the research and which substantiate the article, thus allowing the replication of experiments and the reuse of data, with due citation to the corresponding item.
